It should come as no surprise that the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns softball team is the preseason favorite to win the Sun Belt conference, according to the coaches poll that was released on Monday.
The Cajuns are coming into the 2017 season as the defending regular-season and tournament champions along with another appearance in NCAA Super Regionals.
The Cajuns ended up with all 10 first-place votes in the poll and Texas State was behind them with 87 points.
The season begins with the Louisiana Classsics Tournament starting on February 10th with a matchup against DePaul at 3 pm.
