Andre Jones is headed to the NFL.
The edge rusher from Louisiana was selected with pick #233 in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.
Jones was the only Ragin Cajun selected in the draft after the tragic injury to Michael Jefferson suffered on Easter night in Mobile.
Jones had a strong career at Louisiana, finishing the 2022 season with 51 tackles and 7.5 sacks as one of the leaders of the Cajun defense. At 6’5” and 258 lbs, he will be a welcome addition to a already stout Washington defensive line.
Now, Jones reunites with former teammate Percy Butler as members of the Washington Commanders.
