For the third time in the 2023 season, Dylan Crews has been named the SEC Player of the Week.
Crews helped lead LSU to a 3-1 record on the week, including a sweep of Alabama. The junior hit .429 in the four games with two homers, eight RBI, five runs scored, five walks, and an on-base percentage of .600.
The Longwood, FL native went 6-11 against the Crimson Tide over the weekend, getting his two homers, eight RBIs, and five runs scored throughout the series. His first homer came in the third inning Friday when he launched a three-run shot to lead to an 8-6 victory.
Crews went 4-5 Sunday with a homer and a pair of walks while collecting three RBIs in the 13-11 win. He has reached base safely in the last 47 games dating back to the final four games of last season.
The projected top pick in the MLB Draft is now hitting .490 with 12 doubles, one triple, 13 home runs, 2 RBI, and 71 runs scored on the season.
