Former Ragin’ Cajun hoops star, and current New Orleans Pelican, Elfrid Payton is looking to give back to the community this weekend in a big way. Payton will be hosting his 3rd Annual Charity Kickball tournament in New Orleans. The tournament will be held at Spencer Park (700 Governor Hall St. Gretna, LA 70053) on Saturday June 29th. Games will begin at 2pm and run until approximately 6pm.
The charity kickball tournament will be free and open to the public. The tournament will feature Elfrid Payton and other NBA celebrities participating in the games. Other notable guests include: Kyle O’Quinn (Indiana Pacers), Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic), Dewayne Dedmon (Atlanta Hawks), Bo Outlaw (Former NBA Veteran), and Nick Nack Pattiwhack (Comedian).
There will also be a Fan Zone at the charity kickball tournament. The Fan Zone will include music by DJ Jubilee, inflatables, caricatures, video game trucks, the Pelicans Drum Line performances, and mobile video game stations. The first 100 entrants will receive a free giveaway as well!

On Sunday June 30th Elfrid Payton will also be hosting his 5th annual free youth basketball clinic for 300 pre-registered kids. The clinic will take place at the Alario Center in Westwego from 11am to 4pm.
