After recent rumors of Eric Gordon shopping around for another team, the shooting guard has decided to opt in for the final year of his contract.
The veteran player, who was traded as part of a blockbuster deal in 2011 getting traded to the Pelicans from the Los Angeles Clippers will be earning $15 million in the final year of his contract.
This is seen as Gordon staying put before the salary cap skyrockets after the 2016-17 season when the NBA’s new TV deal kicks in.
Gordon averaged 18.4 points per game and 2.8 boards a game in the 2014-15 season.
