Every few weeks the lineup of THE GAME 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles — Southwest Louisiana’s Sports Station will share a little something about themselves.
This week the team answers the question:
“Who will win Super Bowl 57?”
Matt Miguez (Crunchtime Co-Host)
Prediction: Chiefs 38, Eagles 31
“I feel like the Kansas City Chiefs will find a way to prevail and win SB LVII. The Eagles have been impressive throughout the season, especially on defense, but I worry about their coaching staff’s experience at the biggest stage. This is Andy Reid’s fourth trip to the Super Bowl so he knows what it takes and what to expect while Nick Sirianni doesn’t. I see this game close throughout but with Kansas City winning its second title in four years and Patrick Mahomes being named MVP.”
Raymond Partsch III (RP3 & Company Host)
Prediction: Eagles 24, Chiefs 20
“With the exception of the final quarter in the comeback win over the 49ers, Patrick Mahomes has been kind of average leading the Chiefs to only 19 points in seven other quarters in the Super Bowl. Mahomes will now face an absolute nasty Eagles’ defense, especially in the front seven, in Sunday’s game. Mahomes will have to play his best game — a flawless game with no turnovers — to win and I don’t see that happening. Philly’s offense will make enough plays to extend drives (Jalen Hurts with third down passes to Devonta Smith in particular) and put up just enough points to win. It will be a low-scoring game but one that the Eagles win.”
Dawson Eiserloh (RP3 & Company Producer)
Prediction: Chiefs 30, Eagles 26
“I think these teams are pretty evenly matched. The Eagles front seven is formidable and creates some issues for Kansas City, especially if Patrick Mahomes isn’t 100%. I think Philly’s run game creates some problems as well as the Chiefs will have to find a way to slow it down. Overall, I think the Eagles’ roster is slightly better. However, in close matchups like this I like to side with the team that has the coach and/or quarterback I trust more. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes make the difference in this game, and the Chiefs will win.”
Jordy Hultberg (Jordy Hultberg Show Host)
Prediction: Eagles 31, Chiefs 24
“I believe the Philadelphia Eagles will win this year’s Super Bowl. The best record all season long. Understated defensively because of the emergence of Jalen Hurts. They pressure the QB which has always been key to containing Pat Mahomes. Offensively, the Hurts factor has made the Eagles roll offensively, throwing & running, it’s always 11 on 11 and the Eagles 11 are better than the Chiefs 11.”
James Meche (Crunchtime Co-Host)
Prediction: Eagles 31, Chiefs 21
“I will go with the Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl 57. I expected them to do great things this season and predicted they’d go to the Super Bowl before the season started. It’d be ridiculous for me not to pick. I’ll go with Jalen Hurts being the MVP of the game as he is a part of three touchdowns.”
Kevin Foote (Footenotes Host)
Prediction: Eagles 26, Chiefs 20
“I just think the Philadelphia Eagles are better at almost every position on the field, except tight end and quarterback. Until the Chiefs QB and WRs get much healthier than they appeared in the AFC title game, just hard to imagine that unit solving the Eagles. I think the Chiefs were aided greatly by so many games vs. Bengals in recent years, as well as all the Bengals’ silly trash talking. I’m still not sure if the Eagles’ offense is as good as it looks sometimes, but Philly’s OL is much better than Bengals’ OL.
The only matchup reason to go Chiefs is I could easily see Andy Reid’s veteran staff out coaching the Eagles’ staff. Handling the pressure of the Super Bowl for the first time could be an issue.”
