Zack Hess put together a phenomenal performance over the weekend against Toledo. That was more than enough to earn him National Player of the Week honors on Monday from Collegiate Baseball magazine.
The sophomore worked seven innings on Friday and struck out a career-high 13 strikeouts, leading to a win over Toledo. His 13 K’s were the most thrown by an LSU pitcher since Alex Lange threw 13 against Kentucky on March 28th, 2015.
LSU will return to action on Tuesday when they host the Southern Jaguars with first pitch at 6 pm.
