The red-hot Houston Cougars (14-5) continued to roll on Tuesday night when they shut out the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (11-7) 4-0.
The Cougars got on the board in the top of the second with an RBI double from Connor Hollis after a fielding error by Kennon Fontenot. The Cajuns committed their second error of the day in the fifth inning, this time it was Ishmael Edwards and that that led to Landon Etzel making it 2-0.
Later in the inning, Grayson Padgett increased Houston’s lead with an RBI single through the right side.
Jack Burk dropped to 0-3 on the season allowing three runs off of eight hits and struck out four in seven innings of work.
The Cajuns will next face off against Tulane (6-13) on Wednesday with first pitch set for 6 pm.
