After last night’s crazy finish to game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets from Oracle Arena, I’m more convinced Dwight Howard is the lame duck here instead of James Harden.
Here’s the video of the closing seconds of the game where I’d like to point out that Dwight Howard had the ball with a little over three seconds to go and I believe should have taken it straight into the paint and scored the game-winner or drawn a foul in the process. Yes I know Howard was 3 of 7 at the FT line, but he would have only needed to make one of two to at least extend the game. Do I blame Harden as many are doing here? Sure. But Dwight Howard continues to choke in the biggest stages of the playoffs. We saw him choke in Orlando when taking on the Lakers, then get ejected in a playoff elimination game as a Laker, and now this. It never ends with this guy.
It’s easy for me to say after the fact. You’re right. Harden probably should have taken the shot initially with five seconds left instead of dishing it back to Howard.
Harden will learn from this, but Howard will not. Howard’s the lame duck here. What do YOU think?
Thank you for hanging out with me on the sidelines. Until next time, have a nice day, a goodnight, and a better tomorrow to you all!
