Louisiana forward Kobe Julien has been named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after a great trip to the Gulf Coast Showcase in Florida for the Baton Rouge native.
Julien averaged 22.3 points per game in the three contests, including a career-high 30 points against Buffalo. He had 23 points along with four rebounds and three blocks against Wright State before shooting 10-18 from the field against the Bulls. He grabbed seven rebounds and four steals in the win against a respected MAC program as well. Lastly, he had 14 points against Long Beach State in the finale of the event, making four of the team’s record-tying 18 three-pointers.
Julien led the team in scoring (22.3 points), tied for second in rebounds (4.3). tied for first in blocks (4), and led the team in steals (9)
