Two hour delay due to inclement weather? No problem for Gunner Leger and the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (7-4) as they were able to shutout Saint Peter’s (0-2) 10-0.
After the Cajuns scored off of a fielding error in the first, they put more runs on the board with a three run inning in the bottom of the second highlighted by an RBI single from Brenn Conrad.
The onslaught continued in the third when Joe Robbins hit an RBI double to right center field that scored Steven Sensley. The lead would balloon up to 9-0 in the sixth after a four run inning that ended with an RBI triple from Todd Lott.
Gunner Leger improved to 3-1 on the year with an incredible performance allowing one hit and striking out nine in eight and two-thirds innings of work.
The Cajuns will try to win the series tomorrow with first pitch set for 2 pm.
