The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (13-7, 3-4 SBC) seemed to have a chance to take down UT Arlington (15-5, 5-2 SBC), but the Mavs dominated the second half on Monday night in a 108-71 loss on the road.
The Mavs started out strong as they got out to a 15-5 lead with 14:00 left in the first half. The Cajuns were able to go on a 7-0 run to get it down to four points, but just as they were getting hot UT Arlington took over for the rest of the half and headed into the locker room with a 40-31 lead.
It was all UT Arlington in the second half that saw the Mavs get out to a 20 point lead with 16:20 left in regulation. The lead would continue to rise as the game progressed and was never let go by UT Arlington as they continue to dominate the Sun Belt Conference.
The Ragin Cajuns will return to the friendly confines of the Cajundome on Saturday when they take on Arkansas Little Rock (12-8, 3-4 SBC) with tipoff set for 7:15 pm.
By the Numbers:
