After getting embarrassed on Wednesday night by Florida, the LSU Tigers (14-10, 5-7 SEC) bounced back nicely with an 82-66 win against Ole Miss (11-14, 5-7 SEC) thanks to a big performance from Duop Reath.
After an early back and forth, the Tigers started to pull away and got out to an 11-point lead with 10:03 left in the first half. However, Ole Miss responded late in the first half with a 16-4 run late to knot it up at 37 at the break.
LSU came out of the gates strong with Skylar Mays making a three-pointer in the opening minute of the second half to break the tie. The second half was a tug of war between the two teams for much of it, but Mays helped drive the final nail in with a big fastbreak dunk with 10:15 left in regulation.
The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday night when they head to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama (11-3, 7-5 SEC) with tipoff set for 8 pm.
