After Saturday’s wild finish, it seemed like that momentum could help the LSU Tigers (22-11, 7-5 SEC) out on Sunday.
It helped out a lot as they were able to take down Arkansas (25-8, 8-4 SEC) 2-0 thanks to a phenomenal performance from Eric Walker.
Nick Coomes got the Tigers on the board with an RBI double to right field in the top of the second.
Greg Deichmann got the only other score of the game in the top of the eighth with an RBI single.
Walker improved to 4-0 on the season with a complete game shutout. The freshman allowed only four hits, walked two, and struck out four on the afternoon.
The Tigers will now head over to Metarie to take on the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic with first pitch set for 7 pm.
