Meche’s Fantasy Football Advice – Love/Hate Week 7

In this week’s edition of the NFL, there are some big team like the Bills and and Cowboys with some very impactful fantasy players that will be on their bye week. Even with the bye’s and injuries, there are plenty of players with matchups that I love and hate this week.

LOVE

Aaron Rodgers – With Washington’s defense underperforming, they’ve gotten some turnovers off different quarterbacks, but the defense has given up an average of 31 points. Rodgers has a 12-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio since that debacle in week 1 and will be looking for Davante Adams all day to shred up that secondary.

Matthew Stafford – This will be Stafford’s revenge game, against a winless Lions squad. To think he will light up the scoreboard is an understatement. Stafford hasn’t had a bad game yet with this Rams offense and I don’t see anything changing in this game.

Deebo Samuel – 49ers quarterbacks and Kyle Shanahan love to get Deebo the ball. Samuel is number 8 in PPR rankings, and he is a diverse weapon that can catch and run the football. His next matchup is against the Indianapolis Colts, who’ve given up deep shots all season.

Darrell Henderson – Running backs the Lions have faced this year like Aaron Jones, Joe Mixon, and David Montgomery have had huge games, even Elijah Mitchell and Alexander Mattison have really good games. I would expect over 100 yards and at least one touchdown from Henderson in an absolute beat down this Sunday.

Dallas Goedert – Now that Zach Ertz is in Arizona, Goedert will have all the tight end targets going his way and will shine as that lone man in the Philly offense. In his career, he’s averaged 11 fantasy points when Ertz wasn’t in the lineup and is an increase compared to when Ertz is in an Eagles uniform.

HATE

Zach Wilson – In his first matchup against the Patriots, Wilson threw four interceptions. I don’t expect him to be that bad again, but Belichick will force the rookie into more tough decisions and mistakes.

D’Hernest Johnson – The Browns have a litany of injuries of the offense. Even with Chubb and Hunt out and Johnson having fresh legs, Denver has let one back run for 100 yards this season and the Broncos defense averages less than 86 yards given up on the ground this year, which is fifth best in the league.

Mo Alie-Cox – Outside of the one good performance at Miami, Alie-Cox hasn’t been a go-to for Wentz. He averages only three targets a game and is only on the field about 50 percent of the time. Not to mention, the 49ers are top 10 in fewest fantasy points allowed to tight ends.

Corey Davis – Davis and the whole Jets offense was locked up the last time he played the Patriots. Davis only caught two passes for eight total yards in that game and has been touchdown dependent to have a good week in fantasy this season.

Brandon Aiyuk – Aiyuk has been a non-factor in the San Francisco offense. Even with the rotation of running backs going in and out of the lineup, he’s put up less than six fantasy points four out of the five games he has played in, and in his best game, Aiyuk produced less than 15 fantasy points.
