We’re getting that much closer to the NFL being back in our lives with the 2019 preseason schedule for the New Orleans Saints being released and they’ll open it up inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the first time since the 2013 season.
The Saints will open it up against the Minnesota Vikings and it will be the first time these two faced off in the preseason since 2001 when the Vikings won by the score of 28-1 at San Antonio’s Alamodome.
Week two will see the Saints head to Carson, California to take on the Los Angeles Chargers for the third straight preseason. The ballgame will be played on August 18th at 3 pm and will be nationally televised on CBS.
The Saints will then travel to the east coast for week three and will play the New York Jets. The preseason will wrap up at home when the Saints take on the Miami Dolphins just before the roster cutdown to 53 players. Exact dates and kickoff times for the remaining three contests will be announced in the future.
