The New Orleans Saints underwent major changes over the offseason, such as hiring a new head coach in Kellen Moore. Since then, the draft has concluded, and the official 2025 schedule for the Black and Gold has been released.
Bits and pieces of the schedule were leaked throughout Wednesday and earlier in the week, but the NFL has announced when and where the Saints will be in the fall.
For the first time since the turn of the century, the Saints have zero prime time games scheduled. The last time was the 2000 season.
New Orleans will open the season facing three NFC West opponents in the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. The matchups versus the Cardinals and 49ers will be at home. After a game on the West Coast against the Seahawks, the Saints will head east to Buffalo, New York, to face the Bills in week four.
Weeks five and six will be home games as they’ll host the New York Giants and New England Patriots. The G Men are the only NFC East team the Black and Gold will face. The lone NFC North team they’ll face is the Chicago Bears, in their week seven road matchup.
The final game in October is a home brawl versus their first divisional foe, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following that will be road games against the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers before their bye week in week 11.
The Saints’ heated rival in the Atlanta Falcons, will travel to the dome post-bye as the midway point of the matchups against the NFC South. A pair of road games in Miami and Tampa leads into the final two home games. Those opponents will be the Panthers and the New York Jets.
To close out the season, the Black and Gold head out to Tennessee to play the Titans, and then they’ll stay on the East Coast to play the Dirty Birds.
