University of Louisiana running back Elijah Mitchell has been selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Mitchell appeared in 42 games during his four seasons with the Ragin’ Cajuns.
He recorded 3,267 rushing yards on 527 attempts at Louisiana. He totaled 41 rushing touchdowns. Mitchell caught 49 total passes in four season for 597 yards and five touchdowns.
The first Ragin’ Cajun selected in the 2021 NFL Draft played high school at Erath. Mitchell was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2020.
