The New Orleans Saints have traded wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple sources.
In the deal, New Orleans received a fourth and fifth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The move comes on the day of the NFL’s 3:00 PM trade deadline. With the Saints record sitting at 1-8, it made sense that they might move some players to acquire more draft capital.
This season Shaheed has hauled in 44 passes for 499 yards and two touchdowns.
He joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State in 2022. For his career, he has 138 catches for 2,055 yards and twelve touchdowns. He has also been prolific as a return man, earning First-Team All-Pro honors in 2023.
He is reunited with former Saints’ offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak in Seattle.
