The Saints 2018 NFL Draft added some Louisiana flavor, drafting Louisiana Tech Running Back Boston Scott in the sixth round, 201st overall.
The Skinny

5’6″ | 203 |
Breakdown
The former walk-on waited quite a while for his opportunity to shine on the field with former Bulldog Kenneth Dixon being the RB1. After he made his way to the NFL, the Zachary native turned some heads in his senior season, rushing for 1,047 yards and eight touchdowns. He also showed some hands out of the backfield with 20 receptions for 181 yards and a touchdown.
The running back has got some serious wheels on him based off of some film online.
Coach Speak
Boston Scott: “I can hurt you in a lot of different ways and I plan on displaying all those attributes on the field in whatever way they need me to.”
Overall Grade: D+
He’s got some potential, but seems destined for a role on the practice squad with the top-level talent at RB in Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.
