With only a few days until training camp starts up, the New Orleans Saints are looking to add some depth to the position of the defensive line.
As first reported by the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Saints are expected to sign veteran defensive lineman Ziggy Hood.
Last season, Hood split time between the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins and will give the team much-needed depth at the position with Sheldon Rankins starting training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform List and David Onyemata will miss the Week 1 game against the Houston Texans due to a one-game suspension.
The 32-year-old Hood has appeared in 141 games with 73 starts, totaling 235 tackles, 14 sacks, and 42 quarterback hits.
