Sanchez, Astros Combine for No-Hitter in Win Over Mariners

When the pitching matchup for Saturday’s matchup between the Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners came out, it felt like the ballgame was going to be skewed towards the M’s with recently acquired Aaron Sanchez’ disappointing 3-14 record. The exact opposite happened with Sanchez throwing six innings of no-hit baseball to help get the Astros their third straight win and the franchise’s second combined no-hitter and the 12th overall no-no in the history of the franchise.

What was the coolest part of all this? The fact that it was the Astros Hall of Fame night and some of the all-time greatest players were in attendance including Nolan Ryan.

The pitching staff’s performance on Saturday definitely overshadowed the offensive outburst in a 9-0 win thanks to 15 hits from the Astros.

The final game of the three-game series is tomorrow afternoon with first pitch set for 1:10 pm and you’ll hear all the action on 103.7 the Game starting with the pregame show Astro Launch at 12:35 pm!
