SATURDAY
6P UL at Texas State-If the Cajuns are going to turn around their 2016 season, it starts this weekend against the Bobcats. Originally picked 128th out of 128 teams by Phil Steele, the Bobcats shocked MAC power Ohio 56-54 3OT to open the season. While Texas State can light up the scoreboard, their last two opponents Georgia State (40) & ULM (41) posted season high in points.
8P OLE MISS at LSU After wins vs Missouri & Southern Miss, the competition gets significantly tougher for the LSU Tigers. Ed Orgeron’s former team, the Ole Miss Rebels invade Tiger Stadium for a prime time clash. Although it’s their seventh game of the season, this is easily LSU’s toughest opponent to date. Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly, perhaps the best QB in the SEC, will test that stingy LSU defense. On the other side of the ball the LSU offense has come alive since the coaching change. They may need to put up 35-42 points to come away with a win against Ole Miss.
SUNDAY
NOON SAINTS AT KC-All of a sudden the New Orleans Saints have won two straight, but three in a row is going to be tough, at mostly like the best home field advantage in the NFL. Thing about this game is that the Saints could win it without putting up huge offensive numbers. With Alex Smith leading the way, the Chiefs offense tends to be efficient but not very explosive.
