A few hours after announcing a revised schedule early Wednesday morning, the Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament has now become a single elimination tournament starting on Thursday.
In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon, the conference announced that due to the amount of rainfall over the past few days, it was determined that this was the only option that provided the opportunity to be completed and decided on the field.
The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will now play on Friday against Georgia Southern with first pitch slated for 7:30 pm. As of right now, Gunner Leger will still be starting for the Cajuns.

Thursday
Game 1 – 2:00pm – #10 Georgia State vs. #7 Arkansas State
Game 2 – 5:30pm – #9 Little Rock vs. #8 Texas State
Friday
Game 3 – 8:00am – #6 Troy vs. #3 South Alabama
Game 4 – 11:30am – Round 1 Winner (highest seed) vs. #2 UTA
Game 5 – 3:00pm – Round 1 Winner (lowest seed) vs. #1 Coastal Carolina
Game 6 – 6:30pm – #5 Georgia Southern vs. #4 Louisiana
Saturday
Game 7 – 2:00pm – Game 3 Winner vs. Game 4 Winner
Game 8 – 5:30pm – Game 5 Winner vs. Game 6 Winner
Sunday
Game 9 – 12:00pm – Game 7 Winner vs. Game 8 Winner
