You have to give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-11) a lot of credit for not giving up on Sunday afternoon.
It looked like the New Orleans Saints (11-5) were going to stop the Bucs deep in their own territory with 1:41 left on the clock. However, Jameis Winston was able connect with Cameron Brate on a 12-yard pass to keep the drive alive.
Seven plays later, the Bucs took the lead with nine seconds left with a 39-yard pass to Chris Godwin to make it 29-24. The two-point conversion sealed the victory for Tampa Bay.
Even with the loss, the Saints are still the NFC South champions after the Carolina Panthers fell short to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints will host the Carolina Panthers (11-5) in the NFC Wild Card on January 7th with kickoff set for 3:40 pm.
