Heading into Tuesday morning, it felt like the Saints weren’t going to be able to keep QB Teddy Bridgewater. However, he’s expected to stick around with the franchise according to numerous reports.
The former Louisville Cardinal had a bigger deal on the table with the Miami Dolphins, but passed it up in favor of the potential of becoming the Saints starter in the near future. The 26-year-old joined the Saints back in August via a trade from the New York Jets, giving him the opportunity to learn the Saints offense and sit behind Drew Brees.
Exact contract details haven’t been given out at this time.
