Former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, who successfully transitioned to the CBS broadcast booth, is reportedly asking for $10 Million per year to stay with the network. Romo’s current deal with CBS earns him $4 Million per year; meaning if Romo gets his raise it will represent a 150% increase in salary.
Tony Romo has undoubtedly shown talent in the broadcast booth; but is he worth a record broadcast contract? That question will be answered by CBS one way or another.
With the type of value that Tony Romo has proven to have in the booth, there will certainly be numerous suitors for his talents should CBS decide not to bring him back. CBS is yet to make a statement on Romo’s contract situation.
