I had plenty of fun once again partaking in the UL Ragin Cajuns football tailgating experience. I made my “Tim Tebow” lap around the various tailgating spots and ate a bunch of awesome food and spent time with great people as well!
I had gumbo, jambalaya, Gator balls, BBQ Beef ribs, cajun-seasoned sausage, and much more!
The food and people were great, but it was the acoustic version of Third Eye Blind’s “Semi-Charmed Life” which took the cake! For me to be walking along the various tailgating spots and come across a man on his acoustic playing that song was completely awesome! It’s definitely top 5 all-time favorite songs for me and I could notice many current students around the area singing along with me as well! It pleasantly surprised me.
Now I didn’t want to be a creeper and record this guy’s performance on my phone, but I will post my favorite cover of the Third Eye Blind hit courtesy of Shaun Jansen on youtube…
I love acoustic versions of many songs, but I can’t say it’s better than the original in this case. It’s a toss up. Nonetheless, it was awesome bringing it back to the 90’s which in my mind is the best decade of music. Sure, I’m bias. Oh well.
Thank You for hanging out with me on the sidelines. Until next time, have a nice day, a goodnight, and a better tomorrow to you all!
