The hacking scandal involving the Houston Astros, the St. Louis Cardinals, and former scouting director Chris Correa has been going on since June of 2015.

Monday afternoon saw this scandal reach its conclusion with the Cardinals being forced to pay $2 million and their first two picks in this year’s MLB draft.

MLB commisioner Rob Manfred also stated that Correa is now on the permanently ineligible list. His decision was based on findings from a league investigation. After reviewing the investigation and evidence it was apparent that Correa acted alone in the hack and that no other employee within the organization would be held accountable for this.

The Cardinals will have to pay the Astros $2 million within the next 30 days.
