The Sun Belt Conference announced their 2026 All-Conference Teams on Monday, and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns had six players earn honors.

Cody Brasch, Andrew Herrman, and Colt Brown received All-SBC Second Team honors. Sawyer Pruitt, Noah Lewis, and Blaze Rodriguez joined Brown on the All-Freshman Team as well.

Brasch worked in a variety of roles for UL this year, beginning the season as the closer before transitioning to the Friday night starting spot. For the season, he has a 2.24 ERA with five saves over 64 1/3 innings. He has struck out 74 batters and only allowed an opposing batting average of .182.

Herrmann has been a workhorse for the UL pitching staff. He leads the team with 92 2/3 innings of work and also has four complete games which is tied for the national lead. He is also the team leader with 94 strikeouts.

Brown has stepped in as the everyday catcher as a true freshman and excelled. He leads the team with a .312 average, producing five home runs and 42 RBIs. He has appeared in all 55 games with starts in 53 of them.

Pruitt, like Brasch, has filled multiple roles for the Cajuns this season. He has moved around from the bullpen to the starting rotation and back. In total, he has totaled 69 strikeouts over 63 2/3 innings pitched. He has one save, six wins, and has started eight of his 20 appearances this season.

Lewis worked his way into the lineup as the season went on. He has a .298 average with one homer and 15 RBIs. He also has 14 stolen bases and has used that speed to patrol center field in his 38 starts.

Rodriguez stepped in as the everyday shortstop from day one as a true freshman. He is the only Cajun to start all 55 games this season. He is batting .238 with 16 RBIs, but has been better known for sparkling defense in the middle infield.

The Ragin’ Cajuns begin their Sun Belt Tournament as the #7 seed with a single elimination game against #10 seed Marshall this afternoon. First pitch from DABOS Park is set for 3:00 PM.
