The Ragin Cajuns continued to roll on Friday night with a 5-1 win over Texas State (21-18, 9-7 SBC).
The Bobcats got on the board first in the top of the second with a solo shot from Jaylen Hubbard to left field. Steven Sensley responded in the bottom of the second with a solo shot of his own to left center field to even things up.
Dylan Poncho gave the Cajuns the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a three-run double to left center field before being thrown out trying to stretch it out to a triple.
Brenn Conrad put things away in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single up the middle.
Gunner Leger improves to 5-2 on the year allowing one run off of five hits, walked one and struck out a season-high nine strikeouts in six and two-thirds innings of work.
With the win, Tony Robichaux got his 800th win with the Ragin Cajuns since he took over the program in 1995.
The Cajuns (26-12, 10-5 SBC) will try to clinch the series on Saturday with first pitch set for 6 pm.
