The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns dominance over the Sun Belt Conference continued on Thursday morning as they shut out South Alabama 6-0.
The Cajuns wasted little time getting on the scoreboard with back-to-back home runs from Aleah Craighton and Lexie Comeaux in the first to get out to a 3-0 lead.
Haley Hayden followed up a bases loaded walk of DJ Sanders with an RBI single to center field to make it 5-0. The final nail was put in by Craighton, who hit a sac fly out to left field to help the Cajuns advance to the tournament semifinals.
Alex Stewart improved to 23-3 on the season, allowing only 2 hits in a complete game effort. The senior also struck out 13 batters on the day.
The Cajuns will take on the winner of Texas State and Georgia State on Friday with first pitch set for 11 am.
