Every few weeks the lineup of THE GAME 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles — Southwest Louisiana’s Sports Station shares a little something about themselves.
This week the team answers the question: “What was your favorite birthday?”
Hannah Five Names (Morning Producer)
“My favorite birthday would have to be my ninth. It definitely was an embarrassing one as well as my stepdad put on his mullet wig, big golden glasses, and his buck teeth to sing “Love Shack” in front of all my friends. Yet it was awesome as my neighbors’ girls came over. We had manicures and pedicures in the living room, while hair was done in my parents’ big bathroom. The best birthday present came from this birthday as my best friend growing up was next to me when I opened up the box and it was a purse but the purse was ringing. It was my red Chocolate phone, the first phone I ever had. My best friend’s mom was calling me being my first phone call.”
Matt Miguez (Host of Crunchtime with Miguez & Meche)
“My favorite birthday would have to be my 16th. I had a party with a bunch of my friends and got my first car as my birthday present. Although it was a grandma car (05 Chrysler Sebring), I felt pretty important just getting to drive myself places.”
Clint Domingue (Host of Under the Dome)
“My favorite birthday party would be my 13th birthday party. It was amazing for a lot of reasons, starting with watching a Cajuns baseball game with my family as well as a few of my best friends. Shortly before the game, I was surprised with the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the game. I’ll never forget that feeling being on the mound and actually threw a strike believe it or not (no idea on the pitch speed). After the game, we all went back to the house for a barbecue and me and my friends played basketball in the driveway.”
Raymond Partsch III (Host of RP3 & Company)
“My favorite birthday was my 36th birthday had and it had nothing to do with a party or great gifts. That was my birthday with our daughter Hattie. She was supposed to be born on my birthday but she arrived three days earlier. We were told that we couldn’t have children but then we were blessed with her — and she arrived just in time for my birthday. Without a doubt, she was best present I have ever received.”
Jordy Hultberg (Host of The Jordy Hultberg Show)
“My favorite birthday was the last one I had with my mother & father, my wife & children. We were all together. One family. I soon lost my mom to dementia and a few years later my dad as well. It had nothing to do with where, with cake nor presents. It was the last birthday we were all together. Never forget it.”
James Meche (Afternoon Shows Producer)
“My favorite birthday that I remember would have to be my 11th. To celebrate my golden birthday, we had an all-sports where we played football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. I can’t recall much of it, but I still love the idea and would want to do it again if possible.”
Kevin Foote (Host of Footenotes)
“My 50th birthday was my best. We had a family softball game and the birthday boy hit two home runs.”
