Clayton Kershaw had one of the best games of his career on Tuesday evening with 11 strikeouts en route to a 3-1 win for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the World Series.
Chris Taylor wasted little time to get Los Angeles on the board in the bottom of the first. The very first pitch Dallas Keuchel threw was sent into left field from Taylor to take the early lead.
Former LSU Tiger Alex Bregman got the lone run for Houston in the top of the fourth with a solo shot of his own out to left field to tie things up.
However, Justin Turner was the deciding factor in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run blast out to left center field.
First pitch for game two of the World Series is set for 7 pm with Justin Verlander on the mound for the Astros and Rich Hill starting for the Dodgers.
