The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (15-10, 6-6 Sun Belt) had plenty of time to get ready for their Saturday night matchup against in-state rival UL Monroe (13-11, 6-6 Sun Belt) and they made sure to hold serve inside the Cajundome with an 83-76 win over the Warhawks.
How It Happened:
After an early back-and-forth to start the ballgame, the Cajuns were able to push the pace and got out to a nine-point lead thanks to a pair of three pointers by Jerekius Davis. The Warhawks were able to get within two points with 7:15 left in the first half, but a late run gave Louisiana a 37-29 lead headed into the locker room.
The Cajuns remained in control of the ballgame despite the early efforts from UL Monroe in the second half. Louisiana was able to get up by as much as 13 points with 6:17 left in regulation and despite a late rally by UL Monroe it was too little too late.
