Storylines
Can Nick Foles Keep the Magic Going?
Nick Foles has never been considered one of the elite quarterbacks, but once the postseason starts he’s been on a different level the last few seasons. Last week’s win over Chicago was proof that the Eagles have a lucky rabbit’s foot handy and perhaps their time will run out when they take on a well-rested Saints team.
Dome Sweet Dome
The Saints have been one of the best teams at home during the postseason, having never lost when hosting a playoff game. Considering the atmosphere in New Orleans throughout the regular season, expect the levels of hype to be ramped up exponentially for a divisional game against the defending Super Bowl Champions that they ran out the door all the way back in November.
Offensive Line Health
The last month of the regular season was less than ideal with several offensive linemen being on the shelf. That really affected what’s been a potent offense throughout the regular season and with some players they’ve had two weeks off and plenty time to heal. One player’s status is currently unknown and that’s Terron Armstead. The veteran mentioned earlier in the week he was feeling better, but considering his injury it’s a little more complicated than that.
