Storylines

Must Win Series

Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, the Cajuns have a chance to lock down the number two seed by winning the western division. Sweeping the series will certainly get the job done, but they just need to win the series. It’s really quite simple when you look at it; win and you really help out the pitching depth in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

How Long Will Lee Go?

It was a little strange seeing Nick Lee be named the starter for the regular season finale, but it explained why the right-hander exited the midweek matchup against Tulane after throwing two shutout innings. The Sunday spot for the Cajuns has been in flux for much of the season and it leaves you wondering exactly how long you see Lee out on the mound for the Cajuns. If he can keep things under control, he could very well go five innings and that would be huge when it comes to saving the bullpen for the tournament.
