This weekend, the Ragin’ Cajuns will honor one of the my all-time favorite athletes, Ron Guidry. Guidry played in Syracuse (AAA) on his way to the major leagues. I mimicked his windup (from the right side, but no slider) and Willie Randolph’s batting stance. It was a thrill meeting ‘Louisiana Lightning’ soon after arriving in Acadiana. You can bet, I’ll be one those grabbing an autograph this weekend. Congrats Ron on the long over due notoriety from the University of Louisiana. It’s certainly well deserved.
