All week long, I have my hype songs blaring in my headphones leading up to a Friday Carencro Football broadcast. Chad Jones and I are on the call for every Carencro High School FB game on Mustang 1071 FM. Since it’s Flashback Friday, I thought I’d share a song I’ve listened too before every high school sports game I’ve ever called in my life.
The song is called “overnight” and it’s from a classic punk rock band, “The Bouncing Souls”. The song is only 98 seconds long, but the meaning of the song means so much in my life and I believe could touch the lives of so many high school sports athletes, let alone the everyday person.
The tune is also the theme song for a reality show entitled “American High” which was an awesome show displaying the lives of students in Chicago high school.
