The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns women’s basketball team received a pair of honors on Monday as they got a pair of players named to the All-Sun Belt teams.
Jaylyn Gordon was named to 1st team All-Sun Belt after a strong senior season. Gordon averaged 18.1 points per game, leading the conference. She also averaged 3.7 boards and 3.4 assists per game.
Simone Fields wound up being named to 2nd team All-Sun Belt with a good season as well. Fields averaged 14.7 points per game and led the team in rebounds.
The Cajuns will take on their in-state rival in the UL Monroe Warhawks on Tuesday in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with tipoff scheduled for 2 pm.
