Bellinger’s Big Game Evens Up World Series

Through three games, the Dodgers star rookie Cody Bellinger was hitless against the Houston Astros. That changed with two of the biggest hits of his young career to help even the series at two games apiece on Saturday night.

Both teams were in the midst of a stalemate heading into the bottom of the sixth when George Springer broke things open with a solo shot towards the Crawford Boxes off of Alex Wood.

Bellinger came up big in the seventh with a double off of the left field wall to get in scoring position. The rookie wound up scoring two batters later off of a line drive from Logan Forsythe to tie the ballgame up.

Bellinger struck again with an RBI double to left field in the top of the ninth to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. Joc Pederson put the final nail later in the inning with a three-run blast to right center field.

Game five is scheduled to start at 7:20 pm with Dallas Keuchel and Clayton Kershaw starting for the Astros and Dodgers respectively.
